New year's resolution =

. . . to remember how easy it is to make children happy.  To remember that really simple things can be such special occasions for a three year old and that mostly all that they need is to share your time.
(Sorry if this post sounds soppy or similar to a dating ad. 'We like bubble baths, long walks along the beach and cloud watching'.)
Some simple successes recently =
Dancing in the rain,
Making berry icypoles,
Bubbles in your berry milkshake,
Spending quality time with the cat.  This is Li being totally wrapped that the cat finally came to him for a snuggle over anyone else.  I have been snobbing her a bit lately- after painting the old dining room to become a nursery, setting up the cot and sorting 5 bags of babies clothes into girl/boy- big/small categories she has made herself right at home in there.  I hope it hits her hard in April that it's not all for her- damn felines.
Comparing belly sizes every morning :)
And the simplest but most significant thing I learnt in 2010 may have been: When feeling lost, just make another batch of playdough together in a new colour.
